Canadian Rocking Horse is a labour of love.
In the finest English tradition, Ed Schille hand carves each horse with great attention to detail and finish.
A Rocking Horse could be considered the ultimate child’s possession. It is not only a
plaything but becomes the child’s companion.
Rocking Horses have been carved in Europe for over four centuries. They have played
many roles from teaching a child to ride and balance, to being a showpiece chosen by designers as the finishing touch to a room. These pieces are of great value and will last for generations.
Once only a possession of nobility, now one of these time honored
representations of equestrian elegance can be yours by choosing one of our completed horses or having one commissioned to your taste by selecting wood
type, breed, style (on rockers or a glider safety stand), leather tack, saddle style (English or Western), colour, finish and size. The rocking horses can accommodate children of all ages.
